NS. Louis (KMOV.com)-St. Louis police have announced that they will enforce a curfew in the aftermath of recent downtown shootings.

In a tweet posted Saturday afternoon, St. Louis metropolitan police said they would enforce a curfew. The curfew lasts from midnight to 5 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11 pm to 5 am on other days. Police say parents should pick up their children within 45 minutes of being notified of a curfew violation. Otherwise, it may be cited as “contribution to minor misconduct.”

St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones will announce a new plan to reduce crime in downtown St. Louis on Tuesday morning.

This move has come after a recent shooting in downtown St. Louis. Officials say there was a large group of destructive teens hanging out all night in downtown.
