Tulsa, Oklahoma-The City of Tulsa and the Office of Economic Opportunity (TAEO) have announced the recipients of the first grant from Tulsa. Affordable Housing Trust Fund The Tulsa Day Center will use the money to set up a landlord guarantee fund.
The Landlord Guarantee Fund is used by tenants participating in the Rapid Rehousing Program to work with Tulsa landlords to bring homeless individuals and families into permanent, safe and affordable homes.
Through the Landlord Guarantee Fund, the Tulsa Day Center guarantees that tenants will be refunded up to $ 3,000 or three months’ rent to the landlord if either the rent or utility costs are initially exhausted.
“The Tulsa Day Center Landlord Guarantee Fund is the first program of its kind in Tulsa,” said Christine Maun, housing coordinator for the Mayor’s Department of Economic Development. “This is an example of the innovative approach that the city of Tulsa has taken in collaboration with landlords and community partners to find solutions to the affordable housing crisis through affordable housing strategies.”
The Landlord Guarantee Fund is only available to landlords and real estate managers participating in the city of Tulsa. Gold Star Landlord ProgramA free voluntary program that provides rewards and incentives to landlords and real estate managers engaged in the best rental practices.
Other incentives received by the landlord include priority processing of applications to the city of Tulsa. Emergency rental support program (ERAP).
