Las Vegas (FOX5) –One year after opening as home to the Las Vegas Raiders and UNLV Rebels football, preliminary plans are underway to transform the area around Alexander Stadium into a vibrant entertainment district.
The Clark County Commissioner approved a report on the Clark County Stadium District on Wednesday, a 1.25-square-mile zone surrounding the football stadium, with Tropicana Avenue to the north, Union Pacific Line to the west and south, and I to the east. Extends to -15. The plan revisits the existing industrial area as an entertainment and traffic-oriented district around the stadium.
The plan on page 108 prioritizes changes to nearby roads and prioritizes improving the accessibility of pedestrians in the area. Clark County said it has been cooperating with the plan since 2018.
