Clark County School District informs employees masks required inside of CCSD buildings, buildings – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KTNV) — The Clark County School District has informed employees that masks must be worn in all CCSD buildings and schools.

Mask requirements are in effect from July 22nd to August 27th, in line with the new Clark County Mask obligations.

In addition, the randomization mandatory test (COVID-19 test) will resume on Monday, July 26, 2021, according to a memo sent to all employees on Wednesday morning.

Random testing will start on July 26th and employees will be notified of the test from July 22nd.

Fully vaccinated employees (both doses or a single dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), defined 14 days after vaccination) may be exempt from random mandatory tests.

The memo also states that there are no changes to the student health and safety protocols for Extended Grade (ESY) services currently in session.

However, it also states that some federal, state, or local guidelines may require further adjustments.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that students over the age of 2 wear a mask regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status.
