Clarksville, Tennessee (WTVF) — A woman in Clarksville is a two-time survivor of cancer, but the fight is not over.
Tina Hales says a doctor discovered a rare tumor in her uterus 10 years ago while undergoing a hysterectomy.
She was diagnosed with cancer again when she thought it was obvious from uterine cancer. This time I had kidney cancer.
Last June, they removed her left kidney, and doctors have now diagnosed a 49-year-old patient with stage 4 renal failure. She has a rare kidney disease known as Fanconi Syndrome.
“I don’t have a lot of nutrients, so a lot of bone pain, a lot of teeth lost, hair loss, and constant tiredness,” Hales said.
She needs a transplant to survive and Hales is not currently on the kidney transplant list. She wants to find a match.
Meanwhile, Hales says he wants to continue using social media to raise awareness of this rare illness and encourage others to continue fighting.
“It’s not because I don’t have a family, but because I’ve often felt alone in this fight, because if they don’t experience it, I don’t know what it will bring to you,” Hales said.
If you would like to see if you can play against Hales, please contact her via tinahales91 @ gmail.com or contact Vanderbilt. Her blood type is O +.
She also has a gofundme page to help with medical expenses.click here If you want to donate.
