Sedalia, Missouri (KCTV)-Residents of the area hit by the tornado and storm on Sunday are left to pick up their work this week, thanking for any help they can get.

Sederia was one of the most devastated places. Local sheriffs said no one was injured, and the worst damage was Lake Moncy’s.

Elsewhere in the town, storms passed through, leaving branches and tree branches underneath. In one house where KCTV5 stopped by, the roof, car, and deck were all damaged.

The community gathered almost instantly and helped those who needed it most.

“We have a lot of good friends and family. Pettis County Sheriff is here. It’s great because everyone came out and helped us all really fast,” said the house. Said homeowner Holly Morgan, who was among the victims. “I can’t believe how quickly it was cleared up, so I’m grateful to everyone. This is the purpose of my friends and family.”

Sheriffs also said there were reports of problems with storm cellars and sirens. KCTV5 is working to get an accurate picture of what happened.
