Cleanup events planned at valley parks and trailheads, Mt. Charleston – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KLAS) — Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? It can be as easy as leaving the house and taking part in cleaning.

Three events are planned today and tomorrow. The organizers say it’s not a good idea to just participate. Get in touch in advance to find out what’s involved.

Today, Pecos McLeod Trailhead will make some spruce-ups during events hosted by Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom, Metro Police, and Get Outdoors Nevada. The event runs from 9am to 10am. The event was limited to 30 volunteers.

A cleanup is planned at Paul Meyer Park on Saturday. The event runs from 8 am to 10 am. You need a face cover and social distance. Registration.. The park is located in the southwestern valley, near Buffalo Drive and Flamingo Road. The address is 4525. NewForestDr.GetOutdoors sponsors the event.

Another Saturday event is planned for Charleston Peak.The event is already booked, but the organizer says you can see future events The “Spring 2021 Cleaning by GOMt Charleston” event will run from 9am to noon.

Some upcoming events The site includes the April 15th event on the Amagosa Trail from Reunion Trails Park, Coleman Park cleanup and tree planting.
