Cleveland (WJW) – “Be The Solution”.You may have heard Cleveland Browns Use that phrase in response to last year’s racial inequality. This week, the team invited a diverse group of aspiring marketing professionals to help reach a larger audience in northeastern Ohio.
Twenty participants worked in small groups and presented their ideas in a four-day workshop.

Sanders and his teammates came up with a way to enhance the Cleveland Browns app. Their marketing plan, called “Play By Play,” featured a set of initiatives that Browns fans could choose from on their cell phone notifications.
Jenner Tekancic, VP of Community Relations at Cleveland Browns, said what the solution was, a new idea.
“So what can we do in the community? What do they see with their eyes as a way for us to make a difference through the” Be the Solution “platform?” Tecantich said.
“Be The Solution” began in 2020 with an email from Andrew Berry, General Manager of Browns, asking employees to donate their time and money to social activities. With hundreds of thousands of dollars raised, we now hope that the workshop marketing plan will help more people participate.
It’s not just about job fairs. Workshop attendees figured out ways to increase voter registration, create new Browns tools, love black-owned businesses, and develop new coaching programs between Cleveland police and the city’s youth. ..
Domiana Pryor, who graduates from Cleveland State University with an MBA this fall, says the workshop taught her that the idea was never too small.

This workshop was a partnership with the Marcus Graham Project, whose mission is to create a more diverse marketing and advertising industry.
Joshua Hatch has been selected as an outstanding participant in the workshop and will be attending the Marcus Graham Project’s Summer Bootcamp in Dallas as a result.
