The city reports on Wednesday that the shortage affected the day from 1 pm to 7 pm
The EMS department operates 19 units and states that the city has responded to all demands for service “in a swift manner.”
The city calls them brownouts and says EMS will work on strategic use of its resources to deliver units to those who need them.
According to the city, eight paramedic cadet classes will complete classroom training next week.
They plan to begin staffing ambulances in June.
