Bridgewater’s 4th grade class has been quarantined after 13 children have been tested positive for COVID-19.
Twenty-seven students and one teacher from Williams Middle School are quarantining. according to WHDH.
According to a letter from school principal Matthew Clark, students and teachers were scheduled to quarantine from Thursday to the end of the week, WHDH reported.
Children report mild symptoms or no symptoms. The outbreak is believed to have been caused by a student who became ill at home on Monday and subsequently tested positive.
Students who are asymptomatic and test negative for the virus will be able to return to school next Thursday. According to the news station, those who do not test will have to be absent from school until next Monday.
