One of the drivers, a 27-year-old man, fired multiple shots at another driver, a 29-year-old man, and hit his foot once.

Police said the 27-year-old took off by car, but a US Coast Guard helicopter that happened to be in the area joined the search for the suspect’s car. He was finally found at Southland Drive’s home.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

The CCPD said it was still investigating the cause of the shooting, but the 27-year-old driver is now facing at least allegations of worsening assault.
