Parents in Cobb County must specify whether their child will learn directly or virtually until November 29th.
The decision to keep the online submission portal open throughout Thanksgiving came from the Board of Education legislative meeting on Thursday night.
“We need to keep social distances to maintain due diligence and prevent growth, especially when we want to be together, but keeping the school open. Do all your work and keep it safe so that you can do it, “said Chris Ragsdale, superintendent of education.
He went on to emphasize the importance of contact tracing as new confirmed cases of coronavirus continue to be reported throughout Peach.
“We know that teachers are the heaviest part of this pandemic, and we are considering all the options to reduce the burden on teachers as much as possible. We work with each school. We make school-specific changes, assist in teaching, and keep students and staff as safe as possible, ”says Ragsdale.
