Colorado Springs — The Colorado Automobile Authority (DMV) is launching a new online booking check-in feature that they say will reduce the need to physically line up while waiting at the DMV.
The new feature will be released on August 9th, allowing Coloradans to choose where to wait for their turn (cars, coffee shops, etc.).
However, due to the launch of the new system, the reservation schedule service for upgrades will be suspended from August 6th to 9th.
To use the new features, Coloradans will remotely check in your appointment via text message or QR code and receive a text message telling you when to go to the DMV.
Coloradans without a computer or smartphone can schedule Colorado Road and Regional Safety Act (SB13-251) reservations by calling the DMV (720-295-2965 or 303-205-2335).
