Denver – If you feel stuck in your work, it can be difficult to create a roadmap for your new career.
Job counselors from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and the Labor Center in the Denver region can help.
From 4 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday evening, the counselor will answer the call to the Denver7 Call Center (303-777-7492) to help you always find the job you want.
“We want to encourage job seekers,” said Joe Barrera, executive director of CDLE. “They need to be realistic, but at the same time they can be a bit ambitious.”
Today’s job market is candidate driven. There are more jobs available than candidates to fill them. Many job seekers are looking for positions that either pay more than they have created before or use different skill sets.
There is a lot of confusion among workers who are wondering “where do you want to go for your next job?” And “I want to work for someone else because my current job does not meet that need.” Or, “I have the skills and talents to work for me,” Barrera added.
Barrera says the challenge for many is a change in job hunting. Online networking is important and job seekers must have online interview skills. These are skill job counselors who can help job seekers grow.
Again, the job counselor will respond by calling 303-777-7492 from 4 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 28th.
