Tuesday’s sunshine and temperatures of 60 degrees Celsius are likely to be accompanied by strong winds in Colorado Springs, causing dangerous fire weather conditions, the National Weather Service of Pueblo predicted.
According to the Meteorological Bureau, temperatures are likely to reach a maximum of 63 degrees Celsius in sunny skies at 15-20 mph and gusts at 30 mph.
Due to gusts, dry air and warm temperatures, outdoor burning should be avoided, the Meteorological Department tweeted.
Night temperatures are expected to drop to 38 degrees Celsius, with almost clear skies and winds at 15-20 mph, officials say, will drop to 5-10 mph after midnight.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will hover in the 1960s for the next few days, with breeze on Fridays and sunny weekends.
