Baltimore, Maryland 2022-05-14 12:13:00 –

(North Bethesda, Maryland)-This month, Strassmore’s mansion has three collections that explore pastel, pivot after life-changing situations, and reflect cultural and religious identities. All three exhibitions will be held in the condominium until July 2nd.

Strathmore A colorful interpretation of our world on display from May to July

“For the seasons (spring and summer), these exhibitions provide a colorful interpretation of the world around us,” said Leslie Morris, exhibition director at Strathmore. “Pastel painters are masters of their medium and delve into subjects that both Terence Nicholson and Rashad Muhammad may find difficult to discuss, but we have seen our point of view in some way over the last few years. I’m forced to find out how I changed it. “

Sat May 7th – Sat July 2nd, 2022

Terence Nicholson’s work is a product of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, but is not necessarily defined by it. He didn’t want the series of work to focus specifically on the pandemic, but the impact was unavoidable.

Nicholson was challenged to continue creating objects for a limited amount of time due to socially distant obligations and a call to stay indoors during the early stages of the pandemic. As a result, he created a series of works on plexiglass, photo transfer, video, and smaller aggregates.
