NS. Louis (KMOV.com)-The St. Louis City Council takes a new step in combating car intrusion and theft.

At a public security meeting on Tuesday, the Commission will discuss a bill that requires parking safety measures. These safety measures include insurance, fences, lighting and security. Recently, some Bruce fans have noticed that their car was damaged and robbed when they left the game at the Enterprise Center.

Car intrusions are increasing throughout the region, whether they are intruding into vehicles or stealing parts from below. In St. Louis County, catalytic converter theft has increased by 289% compared to last year. Car intrusions increased by 10% and the number of stolen cars decreased slightly. Last month, 117 vehicles were still stolen.
