Community Rally for Bringing Rancho Cordoba Home Depot Home – CBS Sacramento – Sacramento, California

Rancho Cordoba (CBS13) – Home Depot-based Rancho Cordoba cats received special love from customers and staff on Sunday. The cat Timothy, also known as Happy Tales, went missing, but the community gathered to find friends for their cat.

“He is very well known around here,” said a Home Depot employee. “He has become such a staple in our daily lives.”

About 16 years ago, Thomas adopted the Rancho Cordoba Home Depot and made the home improvement store his permanent home.

“He noticed that there were a lot of people giving him a treat, a lot of people giving him a pet, and he just made a small house at the service desk here and hang out with our customers every day. “The employee said.

The customer loves him. And employees enjoy working with furry cats.

“Every day we get a job, Thomas usually hangs right next to the door here,” said the employee. “He greets us when we come in, he greets customers, he waits for his treat before entering the greenhouse.”

So when Thomas went missing within two weeks, the community gathered to find a four-legged friend.

After days of wandering around the neighborhood, and through the power of social media, what began as a terrible news and emotional tailspin ended with the Home Depot excitedly announcing the return of the cat Thomas.

“I got a call from Happy Tales Sanctuary three or four days ago and told me that a member of the community had dropped him on the sanctuary, found him, and he was fine. He was home. I was ready to go back to, “said the employee.

Thomas is now back in his happy place and, of course, back in his regularly scheduled Kitty program.
