Wyandotte County, Kansas (KCTV)-Tonight, KCK’s neighbors stayed up all night for a child who was killed in yesterday’s deadly standoffs.
“She was a bright lady. She had a contagious smile,” said her neighbor Rahneshia Ragsdale.
Ragsdale counterattacked his emotions when he remembered a girl who lived across the street and was robbed of her life too soon.
“It hurts. It really hurts.” We loved her, but God loved her more and needed her more than we did, “Ragsdale said.
Police said yesterday a man pointed his gun at himself after shooting a woman and two children.
Neighbors told KCTV5 News that the children were 7 and 3 years old.
“She was an angel. She was innocent,” Ragsdale said.
Women and younger children are currently in a hospital trying to recover.
“I just want her to know that my daughter is loved. If I need something, I know where I am. We are here for her and pray for you I’m crying for you and your baby, “Ragsdale said.
The community is currently in mourning, and Ragsdale hopes this will never happen again.
“If you hug your baby and have an abusive relationship, ask for help. It doesn’t end cleanly, so ask for help,” Ragsdale said.
