Corpus Christi gets new assistant city manager Neiman Young – Riverside, California

Corpus Christi, Texas — The city of Corpus Christi has a new Assistant City Manager.

After conducting local and national recruitment surveys, Mayor Peter Zanoni appointed Neiman Young as Assistant Mayor.

He started his first day with the City Team on Friday, February 19, 2021. He oversees Parks and Recreation, solid waste and gas businesses.

Neyman is a retired US Army officer with a background in organizational leadership, operations, and communication, a press release from the city said. Throughout his 23 years in the military, Neyman has held various authority positions and led teams in different communities around the world. He has been awarded the US Bronze Star twice.

For the past three years, Neyman has been a county administrator in King George County, Virginia.

Neyman holds a PhD in Public Policy and Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business.
