Three new principals have been appointed after Mary Helenberger Elementary School, Woodlawn Elementary School and Mary Carroll High School.
Corpus Christi ISD announced on Wednesday that Christa Rasche, Melissa Clearman and Robert Arredondo will lead their respective campuses from the 2021-22 academic year.
Rasche was previously a vice-principal at Sterling B. Martin Middle School. Currently, on her way to Woodlawn Elementary, she has experience at CCISD, Flower Bluff ISD, and Region 2 Education Service Centers.
Prior to transferring to Berlanga Elementary School, Clearman was the Vice-Principal of Dorothy Adkins Middle School and, more recently, Foy H. Moody High School.
Arredondo will replace Jamie Meek, the principal of Carroll High School, who will move out of the area.
For the past four years he has been the principal of Joseph T. Dawson Elementary School. Arredondo’s previous positions include managers of Carroll High School and Veterans Memorial High School, and truck and cross-country coaching and coaching at Carroll High School and Moody High School.
“His managerial experience, his energy, and his style of collaborative leadership routinely lead the Carroll community, preparing the Tigers to move to a new campus in August 2022. It’s an asset because it helps, “said director Roland Hernandez.
The 2021-22 academic year begins on August 10th and returns with face-to-face learning.
