Corpus Christi, Texas — Parents of Corpus Christi Independent School District students have another option for their children during their next intercessory school break. It is called the Vacation Station and is hosted by the city’s park and recreation department.
A camp for children aged 5 to 13 that offers a variety of activities, from arts and crafts to sports and game tournaments. It is all held in a safe and monitored environment of COVID-19.
Students can attend the camp for one, two, or three days at a cost of $ 30 per student per day.
The intercession break began this year, and Lisa Oliver of the city’s parks and recreation department said the city realized that her parents might need more help.
“This is to meet the needs of working parents and guardians so that they can keep their children in a safe environment while they work,” Oliver said.
The camp will be held at the Lindale Senior Center on Swantner Drive. Parents can register for a vacation station by visiting the Parks and Recreation Department website. Registration ends on Thursday.
