The casino food court concept has evolved significantly in Las Vegas in recent years, with major strip resorts such as Harrah’s, Cosmopolitan, and this year’s Resort World revolutionizing familiar casual culinary choices.

While food court sizes, designs and variations continue to change, embracing a strong brand remains a key factor, said Lincoln Spoor, founder of Feel Good Brands. His company operates a food court at Excalibur on Treasure Island and will open a new space at Circus Circus within a few weeks.

The food court shows the continued revitalization of the casino resort, which has a history of 53 years since MGM Resorts International sold it to Phil Ruffin two years ago.

The Feel Good brand was founded in 1998 when Spoor opened its first crispy cream west of Mississippi in Excalibur, Las Vegas. The castle-themed resort was the group’s first Las Vegas food court location and now also includes its own restaurant, Frites, dedicated to French fries. There are also food court favorites such as Cinnabon and Schlotzsky’s.

In addition, the mini court (only a few months old) in the former sportsbook space of Treasure Island, one of Raffin’s casinos, has classic food courts such as Popeyes and pickup sticks.
