9 injured in San Francisco block party shooting, names of dignitaries released

San Francisco police are searching for people involved in a shooting at a block party in San Francisco on Sunday and Friday night. Investigators said the incident was a “targeted and isolated” incident in which nine people were believed to have been injured.

Police said the person of interest was a man believed to be a member of a street gang, and surveillance video showed detectives strapped to a Mercedes sedan as they sped away from the scene of the shooting.

The man, Javier Campos, has outstanding firearms warrants from San Mateo and Alameda counties, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant for murder in Oakland. The San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday, gunshots were fired during an anniversary party hosted by Dying Breed, a clothing store in the Mission District. The victims included eight men and one woman, the Chronicle reported. The age group ranges from 19 to 35 years old.

The San Francisco Police Department initially said all victims were “expected to avoid injuries.” However, a Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital statement said one of the victims was still in a critical condition as of Saturday. The victim’s age and gender were not immediately released.

Another was in critical condition, four were in moderate condition and three were already home by Saturday afternoon.
