Earlier this year, his family revealed that Baxter had become ill.

His wife, Cindy Lou, publicly said in January that Baxter suffered from blood leukemia and certain types of dementia.

That same month His son revealed on Facebook::

Thanks to my friends, my prayer message to my father-in-law, Baxter Black.

The simple answer is yes, he is in “home hospice”. However, this is not a “hospice” that we all know, but for home healthcare professionals to visit once or twice a week to see if there are any health problems.

Baxter and Cindy Loulogdon Black visited us a few days after Christmas to see their grandson’s first 4-H goat project.

I don’t know where all the mess came from, but at this point I don’t know exactly what it sounds like.

God bless!

According to the Farm Journal, Baxter wrote more than 30 books and sold more than 2 million books, CDs and DVDs.

He has also been a commentator on NPR’s Morning Edition for over 20 years.
