Omaha, Nebraska (AP) — Creighton University plans to invest $ 37 million in a new dormitory for freshmen, the first new dormitory for Catholic institutions since 2006.
Most of the 400 dormitories are divided into 4-seat suites, each with 2 bedrooms, 2 living spaces and a shared bathroom.
The new dormitory will be built a few blocks east of the new $ 75 million CL Warner Health Science Education Center, which houses Clayton’s School of Medicine.
Both new buildings are scheduled to open in the fall of 2023.
Currently, Clayton has eight dormitories.
