North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) —According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the pilot was the only person on board a small plane that crashed on Saturday afternoon near Grand Strand Airport in North Myrtle Beach.
According to city officials, North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue, North Myrtle Beach Police Station, and Holly County Fire Rescue responded to the crash after 2:00 pm.
In a statement to News13, the FAA stated that the single-engine Piper PA-12 crashed at around 2:15 pm.
