Crews to repair damaged boards on Hanalei Bridge in Hawaii – Honolulu, Hawaii

Honolulu (KHON2) —According to the Hawaii Department of Transportation, the Hanalei Bridge on the Kuhio Highway on Kauai will undergo some maintenance and repair work on Sunday, June 26 and Monday, June 27.

Repairs are from 8 pm to 5 am both nights.

Intermittent lane closures occur when the crew replaces a damaged board on a wooden board deck.

HDOT has set up an electronic bulletin board to advise drivers.

Traffic control flaggers help the flow of traffic during repairs.
