Scaccia said the man pulled out what was wrapped in a towel.
“We don’t have cash, we don’t have cash,” Scaccia said. “He said he would open the cash register, so I opened the cash register, and he’s all’where’s the cash?'”
After many robbers in the winter, the restaurant became cashless.
The customer was in the restaurant while the man was asking for money.
“The customer who was here went out, got a gun, came back and kicked him out,” Scatcha said. “At the same time, another customer is holding a gun at him.”
According to Scaccia, customers are regular customers and visit restaurants about four times a week.
“We are really proud to have a loyal customer who will take care of us,” she said.
Police were called in, but the man was not found.
Despite a close call with the bad guys, Scaccia said it wouldn’t discourage her from doing her job.
“We’re still working and we’re going to keep rolling the burritos,” she said.
