As good as new Coronavirus Infectious diseases continue to proliferate in the United States, marking a third wave, with a recent unprecedented 61965 new case reported by the New York Times on Tuesday.
This is the highest daily infection rate recorded in the country since April 23.
The seven-day average of daily infections in the United States is the highest (37968) since the level recorded on May 12.
However, the New York Times data is very different from the Johns Hopkins University data. According to JHU, 42703 new cases were reported on Tuesday, bringing the national total to 34,174,774.
An additional 298 deaths were reported on the same day, increasing the number of COVID deaths in the United States to 609,529.
Florida reported a whopping 24017 cases on Tuesday, but most COVID-related deaths (37) were reported in Missouri.
California is the most affected state in terms of both COVID indicators. A total of 3,874,959 cases have been reported in the state, with 64,141 people dying from the disease.
So far, 29,435,171 people have recovered from the country’s illness.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 161.6 million people, or 48.7 percent of the US population, are fully vaccinated.
79.5% of people over the age of 65 are vaccinated with both.
A disturbing report on the increase in incidents comes the day after President Joe Biden warns of complacency due to the threat posed by the more contagious and more dangerous variants of Delta.
Remarks about the United States Economy “Unfortunately, cases are currently increasing, especially in areas where vaccination rates are very low,” Biden said six months before he came to power. Only four states accounted for nearly 40% of all cases last week, according to the president. “Virtually all hospitalizations and deaths occur among unvaccinated Americans,” he added.
