On Friday, the Wisconsin Department of Health reported an additional 1,589 new COVID-19 cases. The state had an average of 1,377 new cases per day last week.

There were 87 new cases on this day last year, averaging 73 cases per day for 7 days. In 2020, 517 cases were recorded, with an average of 490 cases per day for 7 days.

No new deaths have been recorded, adding a total of seven deaths to the Health Services Department’s system, bringing the total death toll in Wisconsin to 14,807. Delays in reporting deaths across the state are affecting these numbers.

Milwaukee County has reported 298 new confirmed cases, with a total of 293,242 cases reported in the county since the pandemic began. The county’s seven-day average is 270 cases per day. One death was due to Milwaukee County, and the county has died 2,325 since the pandemic began.
