On Thursday, the Wisconsin Department of Health reported an additional 1,738 new COVID-19 cases. The state had an average of 1,390 new cases per day last week.

There were 113 new cases on this day last year, averaging 71 cases per day for 7 days. In 2020, 530 cases were recorded, with an average of 487 cases per day for 7 days.

No new deaths have been recorded, adding a total of four deaths to the Health Services Department’s system, bringing the total death toll in Wisconsin to 14,797. Delays in reporting deaths across the state are affecting these numbers.

In Milwaukee County, 372 new confirmed cases have been reported, with a total of 292,965 cases reported in the county since the pandemic began. The county’s seven-day average is 278 per day. There were no deaths due to Milwaukee County, and the county has died 2,324 since the pandemic began.
