On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Department of Health reported an additional 1,799 new COVID-19 cases. The state had an average of 1,900 new cases per day last week.

There were 131 new cases on this day last year, averaging 135 cases per day for 7 days. In 2020, 303 cases were recorded, with an average of 348 cases per day for 7 days.

One new death was recorded, but nine deaths were added to the Health Services Department’s system, bringing the total death toll in Wisconsin to 14,671. Delays in reporting deaths across the state are affecting these numbers.

In Milwaukee County, 404 new confirmed cases have been reported, with a total of 287,045 cases reported in the county since the pandemic began. The county’s seven-day average is 409 cases per day. There were no deaths due to Milwaukee County, and the county has died 2,310 since the pandemic began.
