On Friday, the Wisconsin Department of Health reported an additional 1,995 new COVID-19 cases. The state had an average of 1,838 new cases per day last week.

There were 224 new cases on this day last year, averaging 263 cases per day for 7 days. In 2020, 613 cases were recorded, with an average of 435 cases per day for 7 days.

No new deaths have been recorded, but six deaths have been added to the Health Services Department’s system, bringing the total death toll in Wisconsin to 14,594. Delays in reporting deaths across the state are affecting these numbers.

In Milwaukee County, 372 new confirmed cases have been reported, with a total of 282,967 cases reported in the county since the pandemic began. The county’s seven-day average is 396 cases per day. There were no deaths due to Milwaukee County, and the county has died 2,300 since the pandemic began.
