Daily Wisconsin COVID-19 Update: State Reports 983 New Cases, CDC Recommends Masks – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

On Tuesday, the Wisconsin Department of Health reported an additional 983 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases. The state had an average of 417 new cases per day last week. On this day last year, there were an average of 917 new cases per day. The CDC also recommends masks in public, even for fully vaccinated people.

State reports are unknown about today’s deaths. Milwaukee County has reported -76 deaths at the Wisconsin Department of Health, so it is possible that some figures have been adjusted. The death toll of Wisconsin yesterday was 7,408.

In Milwaukee County alone, 251 new confirmed cases have been reported, for a total of 109,218 cases since the pandemic began. The county’s seven-day average is 137 cases per day.
