Dana has acquired Pi Innovo, which works on embedded software solutions and electronic control units, to support the light, commercial and off-highway markets.

Dana previously held a non-controlling interest.

Headquartered near Detroit, Michigan, Dana’s acquisition of Pi Innovo adds a library of turnkey electric vehicle application software, vehicle-level controllers, and auxiliary controllers to add to its portfolio of electromechanical features and electrification products. It states that it can be increased.

“The highly talented and experienced Pi Innovo team has been providing OEMs with outstanding modular software and control solutions for over 25 years,” said James Kamsickas, Chairman and CEO of Dana.

“Integrating Pi Innovo with Dana’s e-Propulsion software capabilities will further enhance our ability to deliver value to our customers as they continue to accelerate the development of their electric vehicle portfolio.”

PI Innovo’s software and control experience builds on Dana’s capabilities in designing, engineering, and delivering vehicle integration for e-Propulsion systems.
