Tampa (WFLA) – According to the Tampa Bay Humane Society, former professional wrestler and Marvel actor David Bautista hired a heavily abused dog after rewarding the weekend for information that could lead to the person in charge.

Tampa residents are more than just heroes on the big screen after discovering a good Samaritan in a local graveyard and coming to help a dog in a shelter named Sage.

The three-month-old puppy was taken to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay with a metal chain embedded in its neck.

“I just came across her story, and it crushed me,” Bautista said.

Bautista used social media to reward $ 5,000 for information about the person responsible for sage abuse.

“For me, nothing is as innocent and pure as a puppy, and for anyone who can abuse a puppy, it must be the lowest form of human beings, it can abuse such animals. It’s pure evil for humans, you know, it makes my stomach sick, “Bautista said.

And he is not only trying to get justice for her, but also giving her a new home. Bautista hired a young puppy.

This is not the only dog saved by movie stars. In 2019, he also adopted two pitbulls from another shelter here in the Tampa Bay area.

Bautista wants us all to step up and become a dog hero in need.

“Many people want puppies, so they want to raise puppies from puppies and make sure they know them, so they know their personality. But often dogs are shelters. They have already been scrutinized before leaving, so they need a home because they are safe and adorable. They just need a home and the love they return is irreplaceable. “

Bautista said he renamed the pouch to Penny because it sounds better when he calls her with the other two dogs, Maggie and Olly.
