Council Bluffs, Iowa (KMTV) —United Way of the Midlands Action day They work to fund 80 organizations.

According to Forsberg, last year’s call volume increased by 129% to 211.

One group that had to pivot FAMILY, Inc. From Council Bluffs. They moved some of their health checks to the mobile unit by purchasing an RV.

Kimberly Korakovsky, Executive Director of FAMILY, said:Co., Ltd.

The organization focuses on families with young children facing poverty. Their mission is to build a strong foundation and a healthy future.

Kovakovsky and Forsburg want those who can donate to give on the day of action. There are also volunteer opportunities for those who cannot afford to donate.

“I think they will be incredibly proud of what’s happening in our community when they leave,” Forsberg said.

“When you combine the right volunteers, the right donors, and their passions for the right purposes, magic happens,” Korakovsky said.
