Colorado Springs — The city of Colorado Springs is preparing for its 150th birthday celebration!
The city prepares for events all year round by hosting exhibitions, brewing festivals and a month of trees and bicycles.
The latest exhibition, “Then and Now,” introduces the evolution of Colorado Springs from 1871 to 2021.
Photographer Mike Pach started taking pictures of the project three years ago.
“Given a city 1,000 years ago, it’s easy to create a profile for 150 years. I was wrong. Our history is so great that it’s unacceptable to include everything in a project like this. It’s possible, “says Pach.
The parade and festival will take place outside the Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum on Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 am.
The “Then and Now” exhibition will be open to the public at Library 21C until August.
Puck created a photobook with the same exhibition photos, hoping that he would remember his work even after the exhibition was over.
