Oscar De Lay Hoya was released from the hospital after the battle with COVID-19.
The boxer said he was hospitalized for three days.
“COVID has hit me hard,” Delahoya said on Twitter.
Delahoya was forced to cancel the fight with MMA fighter Vitor Belfort on September 11 due to the virus he caught despite being vaccinated.
“I’m in the best of my life and I’m really looking forward to returning to the ring,” said Delahoya.
Hall of Fame boxers haven’t fought since 2008.
Hi everyone, I’m out of the hospital. I was there for 3 days. COVID has hit me hard. I was in the best of my life, and I really can’t wait to get back in the ring. We wish you all the best of luck and thank you for your cooperation. I appreciate it. pic.twitter.com/9XIKfKpDf6
