The plane was traveling from Atlanta to Seattle when it was headed for Salt Lake City International Airport after experiencing a “left engine problem.”

Delta told ABC4: “On the way from Atlanta to Seattle, the DL2123 was warned that one of the engines could be a problem and took great care to detour to Salt Lake City. The flight was safe. Landed in Seattle and taxied to the gate without assistance. We are working to re-detain our customers on a later flight. We apologize for any inconvenience.
