Westchase, Florida — The next time you go to the dentist, you can help the protected animals have a supper.

Westchase’s Dental Boutique donates food to the Humane Society in Tampa Bay every time it accepts a new patient.

Dr. Andrew Vallo has been vulnerable to animals in shelters since he hired his dog from a shelter in Ohio.

“When we first adopted the dog Sampson, he was very low weight and malnourished. He lacked hair,” Valo said.

Valo has made a pledge, and as he begins his own practice, he will find a way to give back.

“Clearly Sampson wasn’t the only dog when we went to the shelter. As much as my fiancé loved to take all the dogs in the shelter home. Obviously that wasn’t feasible, “Varo said.

Almost four years later, Dr. Vallo, who is right next to Sampson, is a week away from the grand opening of the West Chase dental boutique.

“Sampson started a new journey with his family almost as soon as I started my journey as a dentist. We created this office together,” Valo said.

Opening your own office comes with a long list of requirements and equipment, but Vallo never lost track of what was most important.

“For every new patient coming to our office, we donate a full month’s worth of food to hungry animals through the Tampa Bay Humane Society,” Vallo said.

For medium-sized dogs, that’s about $ 300 worth of food. The Tampa Bay Humane Society said they are proud to be partners.

“Feeding all these animals is obviously very expensive,” said Ornera Barchi, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. “It’s thanks to the community that we can stay open and help all the animals we help.”

According to Varchi, up to 400 animals may be waiting for adoption at a particular time.

“Every time we receive a call like this, we are very happy because we can accept more animals and help and save them,” says Varchi.

Valo said he was already excited about the promotion among new patients.

“And we hope we have 100 patients by the time we open, which will be 100 months of food for animals in shelters,” Vallo said. ..
