Denver — On Tuesday, the city of Denver will host the first sessions of two briefings. Social Equity Applicants Interested in Obtaining a Marijuana Business License..

For the next six years, the city has booked new licenses for social equity applicants.

Colorado defines “social equity applicants” as those who were previously convicted of marijuana and / or members of the community targeted by the war on drugs.

Social equity applicant Laron Bradford said he considers this approach to increasing the diversity of the marijuana industry to be a game changer.
