Black Forest, Colorado — An agent at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) detained “prolific criminals” after a stand-off in Black Forest on June 30.
According to a press release sent by EPSO, after noon on June 30, an ongoing breach occurred at a property near Swan Road and Black Forest Road in El Paso County, which was not incorporated, to the agent. I was notified. When the agent arrived, he identified the suspect. The 25-year-old Quinten Hickey was known to his agents as a prolific criminal and was wanted by several ferrony warrants. His actions have recently become “more and more violent,” the press release said.
The agent determined that Hicky was no longer in his residence and tracked him to a location near 6900 blocks on Juanita Street. The agent formed a containment and ordered him to surrender, but he refused to obey. EPSO’s Tactical Support Group (TSG) and K9 Unit responded to take control of the scene.
After a short standoff, Hicky surrendered without incident. He was later imprisoned in El Paso County Jail for felony evasion of vehicles, one and two worsening car thefts, possession of robbery tools, and parole violations.
He will appear in court on July 8th.
