Defensive end Derek Wolf, who missed the entire 2021 season due to a hip and back injury, posted an Instagram video on Monday revealing that he had undergone a second off-season hip surgery.

“I just finished my second hip surgery this year,” Wolff said during a recording from a hospital bed. “I feel pretty good. I’m completely recovering here and trying to lead a normal life.”

The 32-year-old Wolf didn’t play last season after being injured during a joint camp practice with the Carolina Panthers.

After spending eight years at Denver Broncos, he celebrated his first year in Baltimore, the wonderful 2020 season. Wolf played all 16 games in 2020, fixing the defensive line as a stunning run stopper and tying his career high with 51 tackles, including 6 tackles.

Wolf signed a three-year contract extension in March 2021, but hasn’t played since.

Ravens modified the defensive line during the off-season, signed Defensive Harness Michael Pierce, and drafted Defensive Harness Travis Jones in the third round. Ravens reunited with defensive end Brent Urban in late May. They will join the re-signed top repeaters Curry Campbell, Justin Madubike and Broderick Washington.
