Daily COVID-19 data provided 24 hours late from 27 November 2020 as part of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environment (DHEC)’s ongoing improvement efforts to improve the quality of information provided by DHEC. Will be done. This delay allows for a more robust analysis of the data before it is publicly reported. DHEC epidemiologists and data analysts have more time to review the vast amount of data and information reported daily to agencies, data validation, death report validation, and submissions from reporting partners. Have additional time to improve the processing of large data files. This gives DHEC data and healthcare professionals more time to identify and investigate data inconsistencies and anomalies.
