Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) —Thursday, Dickson County School announced that the district would take a break throughout the week of November 23, as the community continues to grow in COVID-19 cases.
Meals will be picked up Monday and Tuesday from 10am to noon at William James Middle School, Dixon Middle School, Charlotte Middle School and Van Liar Elementary School. Day care takes place on Mondays and Tuesdays at Oakmont Elementary.
“We noticed an increase in the number of COVID cases in our community,” said school principal Danny Weeks. “Fortunately, with careful planning, I graduated from school for 13 weeks with new corrections and changes. Community spread while doing everything possible to limit the spread of the virus at school. And there is an increase in contact tracing. “
The school will resume face-to-face learning on Monday, November 30th.
“We believe we can do that three weeks before the Christmas holidays. Play your part during this break to take all precautions to stay healthy. Virus epidemic Losing and protecting ourselves is all our personal and community responsibility, “says Weeks. “Our desire is to continue learning as directly as possible, but we need your help.”
Family members are advised to take precautions such as keeping a social distance, washing their hands, and wearing a mask.
