The Pima Animal Care Center has appointed Monica Dangler as Permanent Director from June 21st.

According to their news release, Dangler started at PACC in 2019 and has been involved in animal welfare for 11 years. This year she helped shelters maintain a live release rate of 91%.

“It was very difficult this year, but these challenges gave us the opportunity to rethink the root cause of homeless pets,” Dangler said in a news release. “PACC is a place for pets who need us and we want to be a resource for those who need help to keep pets. We want to be with pet lovers. have.”

Currently, PACC has reached its limit capacity. According to Dangler’s post, there are 477 dogs and 133 cats that need to be adopted or raised.

To combat the busy season, PACC offers $ 0 adoption for pets over 4 months old. Kittens and puppies are $ 50 each, and adopted puppies are licensed for $ 20. This offer will continue until July 16th.
