Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV) — Chris Parnell is a regular at the gym, with intense training focused on aerobic exercise.
It is not a normal weight room. This is a special specification for wheelchair users.
Chris isn’t always in the gym to get big muscles. That is because he has a better life.
“It’s much easier to move from chair to car, bed, sofa, chair, etc.,” says Parnell.
The weight room wasn’t always here. It used to be a warehouse. However, thanks to the annual golf tournament, which began over a decade ago, they were able to refurbish the room.
“They saw the opportunity and grew quickly when we bought the equipment. There was a reaction like this. Now we have a full-time personal trainer,” said Dan Dresal.
Golf competition was held on Sunday As it grew larger, it had to be held on the 27-hole Tiburon Golf Course.
Raise Great Plains Paralyzed Veterans at a Local Golf Tournament
This year’s tournament raised about $ 80,000. The tournament has raised about $ 700,000 since it started 19 years ago.
The money will be used to support youth sports programs, continue to improve weight rooms, and allow veterinarians like Chris to lead a more fulfilling life.
“Without this organization and fitness room, we wouldn’t have been able to do half of what we are now,” says Parnell.
