Disney World to require masks indoors regardless of vaccination status starting Friday – Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee

Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee 2021-07-29 06:00:22 –

Tampa (WFLA) – Everyone will need a face cover after July 30th Disney World over 2 years old Indoors and on Disney buses, monorails and Disney Skyliners, regardless of vaccination status.

This includes admission and the entire attraction. The face cover is optionally available to all guests in the outdoor common area.

All face covers (disposable or reusable) should do the following:

  • Made of at least two layers of breathable material
  • Completely cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fits snugly on the sides of the face
  • Secure with a tie or ear loop to allow guests to remain hands-free
  • Do not include valves, mesh materials, or holes in the face cover.

The park lifted the obligation to use indoor masks for vaccinated guests on June 15.

The news follows a reversal of the guidance issued by CDC just two months ago.. Guidance specified that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks outdoors in the crowd and in most indoor environments. Guidance still required wearing masks in crowded indoor environments such as buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters.

According to the CDC, Florida as a whole is considered a high-infection region, with more than one-fifth of last week’s coronavirus infections.
